Dear Technical Support Scholarship applicant:
Thank you for your interest in Southern Union State Community College’s Technical Production Program for the Performing Arts. Interviews will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, in the Renaissance Center Choral Studio on our Wadley Campus. One of our financial aid representatives will be available to talk with parents/guardians on the day of interviews, and campus tours are available upon request.

* CD/DVD/Blu-Ray
* Photos
- Prepare questions you might have regarding the duties of a technical crew member based on your past experience and what you have seen at Southern Union’s productions.

* Video production (acquisition and post-production)
*Audio production (acquisition and post-production)

* Lighting fixture setup and light console programming/operation
During your interview, we will answer any questions you may have. The Music, Dance and Theatre Departments of Southern Union have a rich history of accomplishments.
Our technical program utilizes state-of-the-art digital equipment for pre-production, conducting the show, and post-production. Those students awarded a scholarship will become proficient in the operation of numerous theatrical production components encompassing both hardware and software.
Please read the instructions on the Scholarship Application carefully. You must submit all required documents by the March 3 deadline in order to be considered for a scholarship. Please note that in addition to submitting all required documents, you must contact me, preferably by email, to schedule a time for your appointment. If you cannot come to campus on March 10 or 11, we will discuss alternate dates and formats for you.
We look forward to meeting you and exploring your talents in the technical production field.
Sincerely,
