The deadline to apply for participating in the 2025 Spring Commencement Ceremony is March 28, 2025. It is the student's responsibility to meet this deadline. Failure to apply by the deadline will result in exclusion from the commencement ceremony and printed program.
The graduation ceremonies for all SUSCC students will be held on May 9, 2025, at 1 p.m. on the Wadley Campus, and will be for those students meeting graduation application requirements during this application period. For the 2025 ceremony, Summer 2025 graduates may be allowed to participate in the ceremony if they 1) complete all required classes by the end of the summer term, and 2) show proof of registration in the summer classes by May 1. Students who will not meet degree requirements until the end of Fall 2025 must participate in the Spring 2026 ceremony.
Students are responsible for ordering their own graduation regalia. Online ordering for Cap and Gowns begins February 3 and ends March 28, 2025. In-store purchases of caps, gowns, and tassels (regalia) may be available after the online ordering deadline ends, but it is not guaranteed, so order your regalia as quickly as possible.
Additional information will be shared with you once we have received your form and determined that you are eligible to participate. Eligibility includes having a degree application submitted by March 28.
Participation in the commencement ceremony does not constitute conferral of a degree. Fulfillment of all graduation requirements and clearing any outstanding obligations to the college must occur before a degree will be recorded on your transcript and before you can receive your diploma.
